Paul Gosar is like the old "paint-by-number" kits; when he is all filled in, he looks like any regular politician. BUT, when you get up close; that's when the flaws appear. Here's a few:
This is a photo from this year's July 4th festival. Congressman Gosar is center, wearing a white shirt, posing with a member of the "Proud Boys" a a far-right, neo-fascist and white male-only organization that promotes and engages in political violence in the United States. On the left side is a man wearing an "Oath Keepers" brown shirt (any relation to Hitler's infamous "Brownshirts"?).
Oath Keepers, one of the fastest-growing “patriot” organizations on the right. Founded last April by ex-Ron Paul aide Stewart Rhodes, its core membership consists of men and women in uniform, including soldiers, police, and veterans. The group claims to promote states' rights and the U.S. Constitution. However, the group's president has a long history of founding neo-Nazi groups and has been involved in violent feuds between rival factions of racist skinheads, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
From AZ CENTRAL:
"U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar follows multiple Twitter accounts that have published messages that are racist or push white nationalism.
TPM, a liberal website, first noted Gosar's connections to a handful of Twitter users who have published slurs, used imagery and displayed other signals associated with racists.
Gosar, R-Ariz., follows the accounts on his personal Twitter account, not the account associated with his official congressional duties.
Gosar, whose Prescott-based 4th Congressional District is arguably the state's most conservative, did not respond to a request for comment from The Arizona Republic.
As of Friday afternoon, Gosar followed 793 people on his personal account. Among the accounts he follows, Gosar still included two accounts TPM highlighted on Wednesday, one of which tweeted the N-word last week and another that seemed to call African Americans animals last week."
IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH, LOOK AT HIS VOTING RECORD:
Mr. Gosar is famous for not voting on important 'hot button' Bills. By not voting, he is giving up an opportunity to support a Bill, which has the same impact as voting AGAINST a Bill.
July 27, 2020. A National Key Vote was on a Bill to Support a Commission on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys Act - this would conduct a study on the societal conditions affecting Black men and boys. With the national protests regarding some Law Enforcement practices towards African-Americans; the idea of this study is to uncover the truth of what is or is not happening. If happening, then why and what, if anything can and/or should be done to "alleviate and remedy the underlying causes of the conditions described above which may include recommendations of changes to the law, recommendations for how to implement related policies, and recommendations for how to create, develop, or improve upon government programs; reporting annual findings to the President and members of Congress."
😯Congressman Gosar refused to vote on this Bill. When asked why he did not Vote on this Bill, he refused to answer.
